The Ethernet port let me take advantage of my wired Gigabit connection. I also connected a second USB-C-powered display at full-HD resolution at 60Hz to another downstream port. The single Thunderbolt 4 port on the front supports power delivery up to 90 watts, so I was able to hook up the latest Dell XPS 13 2-in-1 and keep it charged up while I ran an UltraSharp PremierColor monitor at 4K at 60Hz from one of the dock's three downstream Thunderbolt 4 ports on the rear. You'll find a combo headset jack in front, too. There are also four USB-A ports: Three in the back that are USB 3.2 Gen 2 (for speeds up to 10Gbps) and one USB 2.0 in front for fast-charging devices. For monitors, you can connect dual 4K at 60Hz displays, a single display at 5K at 60Hz or one at 8K at 30Hz. The dock also has a Gigabit Ethernet jack and a UHS-II SD 4.0 card slot.

The best solution I found is to plug the USB hubs directly to the laptop. My main issues is USB mouse and keyboard sometimes doesn't work after a sleep state power up. Even after all the hassle of upgrades, it is a hit and miss, it has a constantly runnin fan (sometimes quieter, sometimes louder, but it is always humming on my desk). However, I would not recommend using this dock.

Sometimes I get the error message that the power supply is not sufficient, but I think this is only a software error, as it is powerful enough.
It has a dual Thunderbolt connector, and there is an extra 240W power supply for the dock itself.
In short, does anyone have a stable setup using a 7530 with a dock? Browsing through all the trouble with the TB18DC dock, I'm wondering if there's some other dock that can be used with this system? It seems that the WD15 (or any other dock with a single connector) may not be able to charge it.
